5 Types of Real Estate Videos

Welcome, and thank you so much for taking this moment to read my blog post. As a videographer for real estate, I get many questions from agents who know they should make video content based on real estate. However, they don't know where to start and don't know what topics they should tackle. This blog will provide you with five different types of real estate content you can make to bring in new business.

Market Updates

Market updates are pretty easy to make because of the simple fact that you get the information freely from your brokerage. All you have to do is to set up the camera, lights, and microphone. Then you just need to read the information in front of the camera! If you don't want to take the time to edit, you can always send that footage to me! (shameless plug)

Make sure you do more in your market update videos than just spouting out statistics. You want to break down the numbers, provide context, and want to give advice. These market updates are a great chance to demonstrate your expertise and show that you're carefully watching the market. It shows clients that you will be able to provide advice that builds their real estate wealth in the long run.

Client Interviews

Client interviews provide a chance to showcase your success stories. It shows the potential clients watching your video that you are an expert, that you care, and you have their best interests at heart. If people are willing to get on camera and talk about a positive experience buying or selling real estate with you, well there's just no substitute for that.

Mortgages

If you’re a realtor who is producing content, you should be providing some information about mortgages because, as you know, no real estate deal can happen if you can’t get financing.

You can answer all of the questions your clients frequently ask you around mortgages, such as "what is the difference between a fixed rate or variable rate mortgage?" or "Should I go to the bank to get a mortgage, or should I work with a mortgage broker?"

This type of information is super helpful to your clients and they will be incredibly impressed if you're providing that on YouTube. It will also save you time because you wont have to repeatedly explain those basic things to over and over, you'll be able to say, and I get to say this all the time, "I've got a video on that!"

Investment Advise

In these videos, you're essentially telling people what they should be buying in terms of real estate; what is the best thing to buy? Is it a condo? Is it a home? Is it a cottage? Is it a commercial property? This is your chance to break that down. Not only can you provide advice on where to buy and highlight some up-and-coming neighborhoods, but you can also help people build equity in their homes by recommending specific projects, renovations, upgrades, and things like that.

Transaction Tips

Finally, this one is really going to save you a lot of time, and that's buying and selling tips. Here you can provide some tips and tricks that you're probably constantly telling your buyers and sellers in your everyday real estate career. You can talk about staging as well as home evaluations, home inspections, all of that type of stuff. Not only are you saving a lot of time, not having to explain these concepts repeatedly, but you're also going to save yourself some headaches that come along with clients overlooking some of the fundamentals of real estate transactions.
